Alessandro Iaria is a senior lecturer in the Department of Economics at the University of Bristol. Alessandro does research on two main topics: (i) the economics of science and innovation, and (ii) methodological aspects of structural econometrics, as typically applied to industrial economics. On a first series of projects, Alessandro has been studying the path-breaking developments of the Natural Sciences in the 20th century and their impact on technological progress. On a different line of research, he has been investigating several issues that commonly arise in the estimation of discrete choice models. 2014 - PhD from Warwick. 2014/2017 - Assistant Professor at CREST. 2017/2020 - Lecturer at the University of Bristol. 2020/present - Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol
