Alexander Haas is a PhD Candidate in Economics at the University of Oxford. He is also affiliated with the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin). In 2019 and 2017 / 2018, Alex spent several months visiting the Bank of England and the European Central Bank, respectively. His research interests centre around monetary policy and financial intermediation.
