Anna Maria Mayda is Professor of Economics at Georgetown University. Her research mainly focuses on the political economy of trade and immigration policy and has been published in journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the European Economic Review, the Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal of International Economics and Economics Letters. Anna Maria’s work has been funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, the European Commission, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the Inter-American Development Bank.
Anna Maria is from Italy, where she studied Economics and Statistics as an undergraduate. She received her PhD in Economics from Harvard University in 2003. She is a Research Affiliate at CEPR, a Research Fellow at IZA, and an External Fellow at the Center for Research and Analysis of Migration (CReAM).
