Emanuele Brancati is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Sapienza University of Rome. He holds a bachelor and master degree in Economic Policy from Sapienza University, and a Ph.D. in Money and Finance from Tor Vergata University of Rome with a visiting period at Boston College. Emanuele spent four years at LUISS Guido Carli as a post-doc and one year at Parthenope University of Naples as Assistant Professor of Economics. His main area of research is empirical financial economics, studied both at the firm and bank level. His research appears in leading Finance and Economics journals, such as Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial Intermediation, and Journal of Economic Geography. His professional experiences include participation and coordination of international research projects, as well as consulting for regional and national institutions. Emanuele’s research has been presented at leading academic conferences, such as the Western Finance Association, the NBER Summer Institute, and CESifo/Ifo conference, as well as non-academic institutions, such as the Bank of Italy.
