Jose P. Vasquez

Assistant Professor of Managerial Economics and Strategy at London School of Economics and Political Science

Jose P. Vasquez is an Assistant Professor in the Management Department of the London School of Economics. Jose's main work is at the intersection of international trade and labour economics. In particular, his research studies the effects that trade, FDI, and other forms of globalisation have on both workers and firms. Before joining the LSE, Jose was a Postdoctoral Associate at Princeton University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley, an MA in Economics from CEMFI, and a BA in Economics from the University of Costa Rica. He also worked as a researcher at the Central Bank of Costa Rica. Current areas of research include: International trade: multinational corporations; supply chains; globalisation Labour economics: unemployment; informality; wage-setting; working conditions Economic geography
