Phurichai Rungcharoenkitkul

Senior Economist, Monetary and Economic Department at Bank For International Settlements

Phurichai Rungcharoenkitkul is Senior Economist in the Monetary and Economic Department of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS). His research interest is in monetary economics and policy. Prior to joining the BIS, he headed the monetary policy strategy team at the Bank of Thailand, a unit responsible for providing policy recommendations to the monetary policy committee. His other central banking experiences cover forecasting/modelling, macroeconomic analysis, and financial markets. He also spent a few years at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where he did both country surveillance and research for the analytical division of the Asia & Pacific Department. He holds a DPhil in economics from the University of Oxford.
