Sebastian Hauptmeier

Principal Economist at European Central Bank

Sebastian Hauptmeier is a Principal Economist in the Directorate General Economics of the European Central Bank. He also worked for the European Commission, the German Ministry of Finance and as a researcher at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim. He holds a Master’s degree and a PhD in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. His research interests cover fiscal policies as well as monetary and financial economics.
