
Stefano Micossi is Director General of ASSONIME, a business association and think tank in Rome; he was formerly a Director General in the European Commission (1995-99), director of economic research in Confindustria (1988-94) and an economist in the Research Department of the Bank of Italy (1973-88), where he rose to the rank of Director of International research; in 2016 he was appointed Honorary Professor at the College of Europe, after teaching there as visiting professor for almost twenty years; he founded the LUISS School pf European Political Economy, together with Proff.s Marcello Messori, Gianni Toniolo, Carlo Bastasin and Fabrizio Saccomanni, and he now chairs the Scientific Council of the School.
